In many ways, Danny is a typical weekend warrior athlete. He played on the basketball team in high school, played pickup games for fun all throughout college, and now that he’s married with 2 kids he only has time for casual weekend games at his local gym.
Danny is now 38, and starting to feel a bit more soreness after games. It’s not a big deal though, since he has all week to recover from a bit of weekend fun.
One game, about a year ago, disaster struck.
While going up for a rebound, Danny landed awkwardly and tore several ligaments in his left knee. Not only did this mean no more basketball for the foreseeable future, but it also meant Danny couldn’t do other things he loved, like playing with his kids or walking the dog.
Surgery was the only option to repair the knee.
